Fuel Filter

Does your engine run ok if you drive it easily but falls on it's face when you floor it?  You could have a clogged fuel filter.  Fuel filters must be replaced periodically.

The purpose of the fuel filter is to make sure that the fuel injectors get all gasoline and no dirt or rust particles.   Here's what the inside of a dirty fuel filter looks like:

Almost all vehicles now have the fuel pump inside the fuel tank.  If the fuel pump has to push the gasoline through a dirty fuel filter, it works its butt off.  Most fuel pumps fail because they have been worked to death.

Fuel filters cost tens of dollars to replace.  Fuel pumps cost hundreds of dollars to replace.  If it's time to replace the fuel filter on your vehicle or you think your fuel filter may be clogged, bring your vehicle to Clearview Tire & Auto Service for a correct diagnosis and professional guaranteed repairs which includes our Certified Auto Repair Nationwide Warranty.  We're in Hopkinsville, not far from Ft.
